How fast is your site on a phone?
How fast your website shows up on a phone, in plain words, and the one thing to fix first. We load it like an iPhone does and run Google PageSpeed, then tell you what it means.
Why the phone is the test that matters
Most people find a local business on their phone, often on a weak connection. If the main picture or the "Book now" button takes more than a few seconds to show up, many of them go back to the search results and tap the next one. They never become a call, a booking or an email.
What we measure
- Main content (Largest Contentful Paint): when the biggest thing on the screen shows up. Good is under 2.5 seconds; over 4 is poor.
- First paint: when anything at all shows up. Good is under 1.8 seconds.
- Blocking time: how long the page is too busy to respond to a tap. Good is under 200 ms.
- Server answer: how fast your server sends the first byte. Good is under 0.8 seconds.
- Page weight: everything the phone has to download. Over 3 MB is heavy on mobile data.
These are Google's own thresholds for mobile. The PageSpeed score (0 to 100) sums them up: 90 and above is good, under 50 is poor.
Wix, Squarespace, WordPress, Shopify
If your site is built on one of these, we spot it and the advice names the setting or kind of plugin to look for, so you or your web person can act on it the same day.
A fast site still needs visitors
ScoutKite finds people who would buy from you, each with an email they published on their own site, and writes a first email from one true fact about their business. You approve every one; it goes from your own inbox.
